5 Benefits of Working With a Squarespace Circle Partner

When you’re ready to get a professional website built, there’s no shortage of designers who say they work with Squarespace. But not all of them are the same — and one of the clearest ways to tell the difference is whether a designer holds Squarespace Circle partner status.

We’re proud to be a Squarespace Circle partner, and in this post we’ll walk you through exactly what that means and, more importantly, what it means for you as a client.

What Is Squarespace?

Squarespace is one of the most polished all-in-one website platforms available today. It lets you build, host, and manage a website with business-essential features like booking, online store, blog, and of course — beautiful marketing pages.

For small businesses and solopreneurs, Squarespace hits a sweet spot that few platforms match. It’s powerful enough to create a custom website with significant functionality, yet approachable enough that you can publish a blog post or change your hours without calling anyone.

What Is Squarespace Circle?

Squarespace Circle is Squarespace’s official program for professional web designers and agencies who build on the platform regularly. To become a Squarespace Circle partner, a designer must have built at least three active Squarespace websites and pass Squarespace’s review process. Think of it like a professional certification, but one that’s tied to real, demonstrated output on the platform rather than a test you sit for once and forget about.

How do I know if a designer is a Squarespace Circle member?

Look for the official Circle badge on their website. Circle badges look like the image at the top of this article.

Ours is in the website footer on every page, and on our homepage.

Benefits of Working With a Squarespace Circle Partner

Circle partner status translates into concrete advantages for every client we work with on Squarespace. Here are the benefits you’ll enjoy.

1. You Don’t Pay to Host a Site That Isn’t Live Yet

When you start a Squarespace website on your own, you get a 14-day free trial. That’s two weeks to build, review, revise, populate with content, QA, and launch a complete website. For many websites that timeline is unrealistic, and having to pay for a subscription while your site is still under construction isn’t optimal.

As a Squarespace Circle partner, we can start your site trial on your behalf, which gives you a minimum of three months instead of only two weeks. That means your site can be built, refined, and polished at a realistic pace, without having to pay the hosting subscription. You only start paying when your site is ready to go live.

This alone is one of the most practical advantages of working with a Circle partner. Design takes time. Gathering your copy, photos, and branding takes time. An extended trial means the process can breathe.

2. You Save on Your First Year of Squarespace Hosting

Once your site is ready to launch, Squarespace requires an annual subscription to keep it live. As a Circle partner, we’re able to apply a 10% discount on your first year’s subscription — a savings that isn’t available to clients who sign up on their own or work with non-Circle designers.

Important note on how this works: The discount only applies when we initiate the trial for you. It’s tied to our Circle account. This is another reason to loop in your designer from the very beginning of the project rather than starting a trial yourself and bringing someone in later.

Squarespace’s annual plans cover hosting, SSL security, a free custom domain for your first year, and all the platform features your site needs to function. The Circle discount makes a solid deal even better.

3. We Get Priority Support From Squarespace

If something goes wrong on your site, we have a faster path to resolution than non-Circle designers.

Even on a well-built platform like Squarespace, issues occasionally arise. When these things happen, response time matters. Circle partners receive priority status when contacting Squarespace Customer Support. That means when we reach out on behalf of your site, we move to the front of the queue.

If you’ve ever sat on a general customer support queue, you know how significant this is. For a business that depends on its website to generate leads or process sales, a fast resolution isn’t a luxury.

4. We Know About Squarespace Changes Before They Go Public

Squarespace is constantly evolving. New features roll out, interfaces get updated, and design capabilities expand. Circle partners receive access to Squarespace product news, feature releases, and platform updates before those changes are available to the public.

This matters more than it might seem at first. When a platform update changes how a feature works, designers who aren’t in the Circle program often don’t have enough time to test changes before their clients’ sites are affected. We get advance access, which means we can be proactive rather than reactive.

Circle partners also receive weekly release notes, monthly newsletters, and access to a members-only community forum where Squarespace professionals share insights, techniques, and early intel on what’s coming.

Working with us means your site is maintained by someone who’s ahead of the curve.

5. Our Squarespace Expertise Goes Deeper Than the Platform’s Documentation

Circle members have access to exclusive educational events and resources that aren’t available to the general public or non-Circle designers. This includes the annual Circle Day conference, monthly Circle Live events, and advanced training guides produced directly by Squarespace’s product teams.

These are professional-level learning experiences designed for people who build websites as their primary craft. This means Circle partners have a level of platform fluency that’s otherwise hard to develop. Not only do we know what Squarespace can do out of the box, but how to push it further to achieve truly professional results.

We’ve been building Squarespace websites since 2018. That hands-on experience, combined with Circle-level access to continuing education, means we bring depth and current knowledge to every project.
